MARION, IL : One flown to hospital after motorcycle vs car crash in Marion on Tuesday, 1st October 2024

One person was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash along I-57 in Marion on Tuesday.

Illinois State Police (ISP) said the crash happened at the 54 mile marker in the northbound lanes of I-57 at 5:17 p.m. on October 1.

ISP stated the crash was with a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Police then said the driver of the motorcycle was flown out to a hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The interstate was shut down to traffic for nearly an hour.
