Stephen Edwards, 70, was driving a 2012 Audi northbound on Colorado 83 between Castlewood Canyon State Park and Upper Lake Gulch Road on Monday evening when he crossed the center line into the southbound lane, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid.

Edwards' car hit a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe heading south.

Jaylin Lobato was a second passenger in the Tahoe. The 18-year-old woman was taken to Parker Adventist Hospital with serious injuries.

A 15-year-old boy, who has not been identified, was also a passenger in the Tahoe. He was airlifted to Swedish Medical Center with serious injuries.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support the Lobato family.

"Words cannot express the deep grief felt for the loss of our dear friend, brother, son, father, coach and amazing human being, Jeff Lobato," the page said. "His legacy are his amazing children, Jaylin and Devon, and his incredibly loving wife, Christy."

Speed is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash, Reid said. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected, but will be tested in the autopsy.
