LAKELAND, FL : 1 killed, 9 hurt in pair of crashes in Polk County on Sunday, 22nd September 2024

One person was killed, and nine others were injured after two separate crashes happened just 15 minutes apart on Sunday night, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The first crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road near U.S. 27 south of Lake Wales.
