A Saturday morning car crash in Chicot County killed three people and injured two others, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatality report.

Victoria Thomas of Eudora was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu south on U.S. 65 just after 11:30 a.m. when the car veered to the right, hitting a guardrail, the report states. Thomas then overcorrected and crossed the centerline of the road into the northbound lane, colliding with a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Charles Baughn of Spanish Fort, Ala.

Thomas, 30, and two minors were killed in the crash. The victims were pronounced dead on the scene by Chicot County Coroner Skylar King, the report said.

Baughn, 44, and another minor were injured and taken to Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village and to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, respectively.

A new law requires state police to redact the names and addresses of minors from accident reports that are made public.

The report did not indicate the ages of the minors or which vehicles the minors were in.

The weather was clear and the road conditions were dry where the accident took place, just north of Compress Street, the report said.
