Wilson County, TN : Couple crashes car into Wilson County creek on Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014

A man and woman crashed their car into a Wilson County creek early Wednesday morning.

Authorities on the scene told Nashville’s the pair were traveling west on Eastover Road just before 7 a.m. when they ran off the road, struck a mailbox and stop sign before crashing into Spring Creek.

The accident remains under investigation, but the Tennessee Highway Patrol believe alcohol may have played a role.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear who was driving the car at the time.
