Lexington County, SC : One dead, one injured in a single-vehicle crash in Lexington County Sunday morning, October 12, 2014

One person was killed and another was injured after a single-vehicle crash in Lexington County Sunday morning. Troopers say the driver of a 1997 pickup truck was traveling north on Wessinger Road around 2 a.m. when the driver ran off the left side of the road and was ejected. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, troopers say. Lexington County Coroner Earl Wells identified the driver as 27-year-old Joshua Cory Monts of Little Mountain. Wells says Monts died at the scene of multiple head and body trauma. A passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries, troopers say.
