Scio, OH : Lebanon man killed in a single-vehicle crash in east of Scio early Saturday morning, Nov 14, 2015
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning fatal motor vehicle crash east of Scio.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Richardson Gap Road and was reported to the Linn County 9-1-1 Center at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, according to a press release.
The driver of the vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet van, has been identified as 40-year-old Gabriel Christopher Ceboll of Lebanon.
The investigation has revealed that Ceboll was traveling northbound on Richardson Gap Road when his vehicle drove off the shoulder and lost control. The vehicle rolled several times, coming to rest on its wheels. Ceboll, who had been wearing his seat belt, was trapped inside and had to be extricated by fire personnel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor. Linn County Deputies were assisted by members of the Scio Fire Department as well as the Major Accident Investigation Team, including officers from the Albany and Lebanon police departments.
