Three people were trapped Wednesday after a car collided with a tanker truck in south Baltimore.
City fire officials said the accident was reported at 6:47 a.m. at South Hanover Street and Reedbird Avenue. There were two adults trapped in the car who needed to be extricated, fire officials said. Those victims were rescued by 7 a.m.
Fire officials said those victims were taken to a hospital were listed in serious condition. A third victim, a child, taken to a hospital was considered to be in stable condition, fire officials said.
The tanker truck had a placard on it for gasoline, but fire crews confirmed that the truck was empty and there were no spills at the scene.
There is no word on what caused the accident.
