Deltona, FL : One killed and Five injured in multivehicle Deltona crash Thursday, July 17, 2014

One person was killed Thursday in a crash on Providence Boulevard in Deltona.

Authorities said 65-year-old Virginia May was killed in the five-vehicle crash that happened about 1 p.m. near Tivoli Drive.
Witnesses said a driver hit someone on a bike and then struck multiple vehicles, including an SUV and a septic truck, before crashing into a home.

Witnesses said they thought the driver had a medical emergency, which could have caused him to crash.

Five others were injured and taken to area hospitals, all listed in stable condition, officials said.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
