NEW BRITAIN, CT : Person flown to hospital by Life Star after Rt. 72 crash on Thursday, 1st February 2024

Early Thursday morning, part of Rt. 72 was closed after a vehicle crashed, officials say.

The highway has since reopened, but serious injuries were reported.

A single-vehicle wreck was reported by CT’s Department of Transportation shortly after midnight.

There is no word on what caused the roadway to be shut down between exits 3 and 4 for several hours.
