Buffalo, MN : 87-year-old woman dead after semitrailer strikes vehicle in broadside crash in Wright County on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2015

Authorities say an 87-year-old woman was killed in a broadside crash involving a semitrailer just a few miles away from her home in Wright County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Lorraine Kurtz of Buffalo died late Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle was struck by a semitrailer on Minnesota State Highway 25.

The State Patrol says the accident occurred when Kurtz attempted to turn south onto the highway and pulled in front of the northbound semitrailer.

The semitrailer driver, a 32-year-old man from Ottertail, wasn't injured in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
