Cresson, TX : Off-duty Fort Worth firefighter killed in head-on crash on Highway 377 west of Cresson in Hood County on Tuesday, 28th August 2018

An off-duty Fort Worth firefighter was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 377 west of Cresson in Hood County on Monday.Charles Andrew Heimer, 42, was a 12-year veteran of the Fort Worth Fire Department. He died in a head-on collision with a pickup near Rock Crusher Hill.
A 51-year-old woman was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and is in unknown condition.
Heimer was married and had a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old son.
