Amherst ,MA :Henry Street reopens after school bus struck utility pole on Monday afternoon ,june 22nd 2015

Henry Street in Amherst has reopened after a school bus went off the road and struck a utility pole around 1:30 Monday afternoon, knocking down wires in the crash.

Amherst Police Lt. Ronald Young says that there were students on the bus at the time, but no injuries were reported. The children were brought back to the Fort River Elementary School to be reunited with their parents.

Henry Street reopened around 11:00pm Monday.14 homes lost power due to this crash. According to Eversource, all power has since been restored.

The bus driver’s name is not being released at this time.
