McMinnville , OR :One Person Killed and two others injured after Fatal Single vehicle rollover Crash on Monday early morning ,May 11th 2015
One person is dead and two others were hurt after an early morning car crash in McMinnville, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.
Just before 3:30 a.m. the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office was responding to a single vehicle, rollover crash on the 15000 block of NW Baker Creek Road in rural McMinnville.
When deputies arrived on scene the driver was pronounced dead while a second passenger had sustained serious injuries. A third passenger, also hurt, was found walking down Baker Creek Rd. by deputies a short time later.
The passengers were identified as 19-year-old Dylan Nymeyer and 20-year-old Mitchel Graham. The driver killed was identified as 20-year-old Parker Wold. Graham was taken to the Willamette Valley Medical Center by ambulance and Nymeyer was flown to a Portland hospital via Life Flight.
All three men involved in the crash are residents of McMinnville.
"These types of crashes are always hard to cope with because they are so preventable." said Sheriff Tim Svenson.
"Initial indicators show alcohol may have been a factor. I hope with high school graduations looming, that this unfortunate incident will be a reminder for young folks in our community to celebrate safely," Svenson said.
The Yamhill County Multi-Agency Traffic Team (MATT) was activated to investigate the crash. The case is ongoing at this time, but initial reports filed indicate speed and alcohol may have been factors.
