Two Ohio fugitives were arrested Aug. 15 following a multi-vehicle accident.
According to a press release: At about 12:15 p.m., officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to Monongahela Boulevard for a reported multi-vehicle accident.
Scott Allen Swiger, of Steubenville, Ohio, and Joseph Lee Payne, of Wintersville, Ohio, were identified as driver and occupant of one of the vehicles involved.
Investigation revealed that Swiger and Payne were wanted by Steubenville authorities, in connection to an robbery. After receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash, they were taken into custody and are awaiting extradition at North Central Regional Jail.
