Akron, OH : One person is dead and three others injured in a crash at I-77 On Wednesday, June 15th, 2016

One person is dead and three others injured following a crash on I-77 North.

Authorities say it was around 1:47 a.m. Wednesday when a 2015 Toyota RAV4 went off the roadway and crashed under the Swartz Road overpass.

A 74-year-old passenger from Elyria was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

The driver and one passenger were listed in critical condition. A third passenger was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation. Authorities say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
