PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL : Woman killed in car crash on Back Beach Road on Sunday, 4th March 2018

Alcohol is suspected as a factor in a car accident that killed a woman early Sunday morning at the intersection of Back Beach Road and Highway 79.
Panama City Beach Police have identified Kimberly Mason as the victim.
Mason was stopped at a red light, when a Dodge Ram, allegedly driven by Serna Lopez, struck the rear of her car, according to the press release.
When officers arrived on scene, they pulled her out of the car and attempted life-saving measures but it was to no avail. Officers located the pick up truck and Lopez, at the nearby parking lot for the Express Lane convenience store.
The accident happened at 3:26 a.m., according to the report. Further investigation is pending a traffic homicide investigation.
