PORTLAND, OR : 2 people killed after police chase, crashing stolen vehicle in Southeast Portland on Tuesday, 25th June 2024

Two people are dead after leading police officers on a chase before crashing a stolen vehicle early Tuesday morning, according to Portland police. Two other people involved in the crash were injured.

Gresham police officers attempted to stop a vehicle just after midnight in the area of Southeast 159th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. The vehicle did not stop, and minutes later, Gresham police officers found the vehicle had crashed near the intersection of Southeast 139th Avenue and Southeast Division Street, Portland police said.
