Lawrenceville, GA : I-85 shut down for hours after truck, multiple vehicles involved in serious crash on Sunday, January 15th 2017

Interstate 85 southbound lanes near Steve Reynolds Boulevard were shut down for several hours due to an overturned tractor trailer Sunday evening.

Traffic was intermittently flowing through one lane on the left side, Sgt. Jake Smith said.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, three cars and the truck were involved.

"There was one serious injury and several minor injuries," Smith said. "At this time, no one has died as a result of the accident."

All lanes opened at 11:37 p.m.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
