Montgomery, AL : Fatal wreck involving pedestrian on Interstate 85 near the Chantilly Parkway exit on Friday, 3rd April, 2020

A single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 85 near the Chantilly Parkway exit killed a pedestrian, according to police.

Montgomery police Cpl. Tyneshia James said officers and fire medics responded to I-85 northbound about 8 p.m. in reference to the wreck.

At the scene, first responders found a pedestrian with fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, James said.

The crash is currently under investigation and no additional information is available at this time, James said.

A Facebook post showed photographs of a heavy police presence at the scene of the wreck, blocking traffic in the northbound lanes.
