GILMORE, ID : Idaho man dies in paragliding crash in Lemhi County on Friday, 10th August 2018

Authorities say an Idaho man died after succumbing to injuries suffered in a paragliding crash in Lemhi County.

The Idaho State Journal reports the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Westley Portwood, of Pocatello, was operating a motorized paraglider east of Gilmore at the time of the crash.

Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and Portwood was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
