WICHITA, KS : 17-year-old killed in crash near 39th & Rock identified on Tuesday, 23rd May 2023

Update 11:30 May 24: The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office identified 17-year-old Julio Alsidez as the teen killed in Tuesday night’s crash.

Alsidez had just graduated from Derby High School.

Alsidez was driving northbound in a Subaru Horizon when the vehicle left the road and struck a row of trees. His family found him by locating his phone, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
