Wedgefield, FL : 1 injured in school bus crash near S.R. 520 in Wedgefield on Thursday, December 25, 2014

At least one person was injured when a pickup truck crashed with a school bus near State Road 520 in Christmas, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Officials said the driver of the pickup truck became entrapped after colliding with the school bus on Maxim Parkway near S.R. 420 just after 8 a.m. in Wedgefield. That person was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The bus was headed to Corner Lake Middle school with a driver and one student on board at the time of the crash. No one on the bus was injured.
Maxim Parkway was blocked in both directions while troopers worked to clear the crash. Drivers are urged to take Taylor Creek Road as an alternate route.

Troopers did not say what caused the crash.
