Cocoa, FL : Woman, 1-year-old child injued after crash on State Road 520 in Brevard County on Tuesday afternoon, March 17, 2015

A woman and a 1-year-old child were rushed to the hospital after a crash on State Road 520 in Brevard County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving west on S.R. 520 when she had a medical issue and struck a lawn maintenance truck, which was parked on the shoulder.

The woman's vehicle overturned, trapping her and the child inside, troopers said.

The woman was removed from the vehicle and flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center as a trauma patient.

Rescuers found the child in the car seat outside the vehicle. They believe bystanders may have pulled the child out.

The child was taken to Wuesthoff Hospital in stable condition.
