Huntsville, AL : Meridianville man died in a hit-and-run crash on US. 231 north of Huntsville on Wednesday morning, February 4, 2015

State public safety officials say a 63-year-old Meridianville man has died in a hit-and-run crash.

Alabama Department of Public Safety officials say James Edward Helton was struck by a vehicle on US. 231 north of Huntsville Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the car that struck Helton left the scene and officials ask anyone with information on the driver to call troopers at 256-533-4202.
