Astoria,OR : Car, bus accident causes serious injury on November, Wednesday 29th 2017
A Warrenton woman was flown to Portland with critical injuries after her car crossed the center line and struck a southbound Point bus head-on. Bus passengers suffered minor injuries.
At approximately 8:50 a.m., Oregon State Police responded to a report of a serious injury crash on Highway 101 near milepost 16.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2002 Audi A4, operated by Lacey Rachelle Hardman, 29, of Warrenton, was traveling northbound on Highway 101 near milepost 16, when the Audi crossed the center line.
The bus, operated by Randal Scott Redford, 59, of Eugene was carrying four passengers, who all sustained minor injuries.
Hardman was extricated from her vehicle by Gearhart and Seaside Fire Department and transported by air ambulance to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital.
Highway 101 was closed for approximately 4 hours, with a detour in place.
