Paramus, NJ : John Muller, of Glen Ridge, died in fiery car crash near Garden State Parkway toll plaza on Sunday, Oct 18, 2015

New Jersey State Police have identified a man who was killed when his car rolled over and burst into flames near a toll plaza on the Garden State Parkway.

Police say John Muller, of Glen Ridge, died in the single-car crash at around 11:45 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes at exit 165 in Paramus.

Sgt. Jeff Flynn says Muller was attempting to exit the parkway when his 2001 Acura struck a concrete island and the toll booth. The car then flipped, landed on its roof and caught fire.

Flynn says Muller was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.
