Brandon, FL : Plant City motorcyclist dies following a crash involving a SUV on Brandon Boulevard on Wednesday, November 12, 2014

A man died in a crash late Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a car that had turned into his path, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports. Jose Santiago-Marrero, 30, of Plant City was heading east at high speed on State Road 60, approaching Edwards Avenue on his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle. Alta James, 45, of Brandon turned left from Edwards Avenue onto eastbound S.R. 60, cutting off Santiago-Marrero. The front of the motorcycle hit the passenger side of James' 2005 Nissan Armada. Santiago-Marrero was thrown from the bike and died at the scene. Charges against James were pending Thursday. Source : Motorcyclist killed in Brandon crash
