Phoenix, AZ : 1 dead in crash involving motorcycle in Gilbert on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017

Authorities are investigating a crash in Gilbert that killed a motorcyclist Tuesday evening, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez, a Sheriff's Office spokesman, saidthe man riding the motorcycle rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a red light near Power Road and Galveston Street in Gilbert.

Investigators on Tuesday evening were trying to determine whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
