79-year-old man killed in sports car crash on Bakersfield California

A 79-year-old man from Dunsmuir was killed Monday night when he crashed his sports car into the back of a tractor-trailer on the Grapevine portion of northbound Interstate 5.
The California Highway Patrol said the Mustang driver, later identified as Leland Evans, was going 73 mph when he approached stop-and-go traffic around 11 p.m. in a construction zone.

The truck driver, a 28-year-old man from San Bernardino, was not injured, the CHP said.
