Union County, OH : Delaware man died when minivan crashed into a tree east of Marysville on Tuesday afternoon, Oct 6, 2015

A Delaware, Ohio, man was killed when the minivan he was driving went off the road and crashed into a tree east of Marysville late Tuesday afternoon.

Christopher Ball, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Rt. 132, also known as County Home Road, in Dover Township, according to the State Highway Patrol.

His wife, Marcia Ball, 71, was a passenger in the car.

She was taken to Union County Memorial Hospital and then by helicopter to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Her condition was stable late Tuesday night, the patrol said.

Mr. Ball was traveling east on Rt. 132 about 4:45 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road, turned the car over and struck a tree.
