School van driver killed in collision with tractor trailer in New Jersey identified
The driver of a school van, who was killed after the van collided with a tractor trailer in Salem County, New Jersey, has been identified.That driver was identifed by police as 58-year-old Deborah Thomas of Pittsgrove.The accident happened after 7:30 a.m. Friday at Route 40 and New Kirk Station Road in Upper Pittsgrove.
New Jersey State Police tell Action News the school van was carrying one child at the time of the crash.The child was taken to Cooper University Hospital with back pain, but those injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
There was no immediate word what led to the crash.The cause is under investigation.
