Ocala,FL : Ocala man, 59, dies in crash on Thursday morning, 25th August, 2016

A 59-year-old Ocala man died in a traffic crash Thursday morning near Micanopy, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Sgt. Calvin Long said a driver headed east on County Road 234 in a 2009 Hyundai pulled out in to the path of a southbound 2016 Nissan Sentra on U.S. Highway 441. The driver, Glason Oliver Anderson, died in the crash, Long said. He was wearing a seat belt.

The other driver, Zoe A. Williams, 27, of DeLand, was listed in stable condition at UF Health Shands Hospital, he said.

The 5:55 a.m. accident resulted in the intersection being closed for about 3½ hours, troopers said.
