CONGRESS, AZ : 1 dead after 4-vehicle collision on US 93 near Congress on Thursday, 30th May 2024

One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash that shut down both directions of a busy highway for hours on Thursday.

According to Department of Public Safety troopers, four vehicles were involved in the crash on the US 93 near Tres Alamos Road, west of Congress around 7:45 a.m. Troopers say a box truck crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a semi-truck, causing the box truck to go up in flames. Authorities say the box truck driver died at the scene.
