A 17-year-old is learning how to walk again after a suspected drunken driver hit him and his 14-year-old brother.

For the first time the teen is talking about the terrifying moments leading up to the crash. Seventeen-year-old Frederick Horn is coming to terms with his new life.

His leg was amputated and his body is still recovering from a horrific crash.

“I thought I was losing my mind when I seen my leg was gone,” Horn said.

In January, Horn’s mother Tierra ran out of gas on Blanding Boulevard.

Horn, along with his 14-year-old brother, got out to push the disabled car to a nearby gas station.
