Two Florida deputies have been treated for minor injuries after being rear-ended in separate accidents while on duty.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s officials say Deputy Darryl Martin was stopped at a red light Friday night when he was rear ended by Anthony Hanna. Authorities say Hanna left the crash but witnesses followed him to his home. He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.
Just after midnight, authorities said another driver struck Michael Hanson who was driving a transport van for the sheriff’s office. There were no prisoners in the van.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
