Salt Lake City, UT : Two people dead after Nebo School District bus collided head-on with a pickup truck in Payson on Tuesday afternoon, Sep 1, 2015

Two men are dead after a pickup truck they were riding in collided with a school bus in Payson.

The Daily Herald newspaper in Provo reports that no students were on board the bus during the head-on crash Tuesday afternoon.

Two other men aboard the truck suffered serious injuries in the accident. The bus driver was also taken to a local hospital after the collision in a rural part of Payson. The Nebo School District bus driver was on the way to pick up students when it happened.

Police are investigating what caused the crash about 60 miles south of Salt Lake City.
