New Hampshire woman suffered serious injuries in a truck crash on Route 95

A New Hampshire woman suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon after she needed to be pulled from her burning truck following a crash on Route 95.

New Hampshire State Police said they were notified around 12:25 p.m. that a truck left the roadway and slammed into a piece of construction equipment located on the side of the highway.

Police said the truck burst into flames after the crash, but passers-by who noticed the crash were able to pull the woman, later identified as Amy Strong, 20, of Hampston, N.H., from the vehicle.

Strong was rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but state police said they don't believe speed or alcohol were factors.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police.
