GONZALES, LA : 1 person killed in crash in Gonzales on Saturday, 29th June 2024

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Gonzales Saturday night, June 29.

According to the Gonzales Police Department, the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Highway 61 at Highway 44 and claimed the life of Jennifer Davenport, 38, of St. Amant.

Investigators believe Davenport was driving south on Highway 61 and failed to stop for a red light in an intersection. As a result, Davenport’s vehicle crashed into another car.

Police said Davenport was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
