Boca Raton,FL : Boca woman seriously injured in wrong-way crash released from hospital on July, Thursday 20th 2017

Boca Raton woman who authorities say was struck by a wrong-way driver, killing her passenger, has been released from the hospital, a nurse at the facility said Thursday.

Maria Stengel, 29, who works as a Hillsboro Beach police officer, is back home after being released from Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, according to a man who answered the door at her relatives’ home in Pompano. She’s still recovering from her injuries, he said.
