MEARS, MI : 20-year-old killed, 14-year-old injured in crash at Silver Lake Sand Dunes on Sunday, 1st September 2024

Police are sharing more information about a crash at Silver Lake Sand Dunes that left a 20-year-old dead and a 14-year-old injured.

The crash happened in the ORV area around 5:45 p.m. Sunday. A 20-year-old Coopersville man, identified as Braden VanPutten, had been driving a Honda 450 Quad when he collided with a Can-Am Side-by-side that a 36-year-old Milan man was driving.
