Abilene, TX : One dead, four injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 84 in Coleman County Monday afternoon, August 22, 2016

One person died and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 84 in Coleman County Monday afternoon, according to the Coleman Fire Department.

Fire Chief David Martinez said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while one other victim was extricated from the vehicle and transported by helicopter to an unidentified hospital.

The three others involved were taken by ambulance to a hospital, Martinez said.

Martinez said the crash between Santa Anna and Coleman involved a Nissan car and a Ford pickup. He said the pickup caught on fire.

Texas Department of Public Safety and Santa Anna Fire Department officials also responded to the scene, Martinez said.
