Sedro-Woolley, WA : Three people injured in head-on collision Highway 9 north of Sedro-Woolley on Friday January 15 2016.

A head-on collision between two cars Friday morning on Highway 9 injured three people, including a 15-year-old boy who was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
State Patrol said the collision happened about 7 a.m. two miles north of Sedro-Woolley.
An 18-year-old Sedro-Woolley man driving southbound lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway and crossed the centerline, colliding with a vehicle heading northbound, according to State Patrol.
The 15-year-old boy, also from Sedro-Woolley, was a passenger in the northbound vehicle, which was driven by a 26-year-old man whom State Patrol reported was a resident of Mexico. The driver was taken to a local hospital by private transport.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital.
Both vehicles were totaled in the collision, according to State Patrol.
A press memo lists "speed too fast for conditions" as the cause of the collision.
