Memphis, TN : Driver flees police; crashes, flips in South Memphis on Thursday, October 27, 2016

A car overturned in South Memphis after fleeing a traffic stop.

Police said the officers tried to stop the car at Third Street and Gage Avenue, but the driver kept going.

The car later crashed and flipped at Gage Avenue and Florida Street.

Police said two people got out of the vehicle and ran--one had a weapon.

The suspects' car wasn't the only one damaged in the chase. One man said he's trying to stay optimistic after he came home to find his parked Camero totaled.

"Soon as I got here, I just wanted to know one thing, and that's are the people OK and do they know who did it," the man said. "And once they told me, 'oh, we don't know. They got out and ran,' I was like well OK."

Police are searching for the two suspects. They were last seen on Kansas Street.
