Hutchinson, KS : Preston man hurt after crashing Mustang into tree in Geary County on Sunday morning, February 19, 2017

A man was hurt after crashing his vehicle into a tree in Geary County on Sunday morning.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Jacob B. Wirick, 24, Preston, was driving a 2006 Ford Mustang east on Flint Hills Boulevard, less than a mile east of K-57, when he failed to negotiate a left-hand turn and his Mustang hit a tree.

He suffered from incapacitating injuries, and was transported to Geary County Community Hospital around 2:10 a.m.

Wirick was not wearing his seat belt.
