Houston, TX : Driver crashes into northeast Houston yard on Sunday, January, 21st 2018

A driver crashed into cars parked in front of a northeast Houston house Sunday afternoon, damaging the home's facade and several of the vehicles, police said.

The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition..

The motorist, in a blue ford SUV, drove off the residential street and across a shallow ditch toward the front of a house in the 3000 block of Melbourne, according to police.

He then crashed into several cars that were parked in the driveway and under a carport in front of the house. The SUV struck a white Mercedes and a brown sedan. In what appeared to be a chain reaction, two more cars parked in front of the house - a van and a Ford F-150 pickup - were also damaged.

One vehicle slammed into the front of the house, cracking the brick and damaging a column near the front door.

No one in the house was injured.
