Queens, NY : Man injured when his vehicle crashes into tree in South Ozone Park on Sunday morning, Nov 22, 2015
A 25-year-old man was wounded after he slammed his car into a tree in Queens early Sunday, police said.
The driver lost control and vaulted the North Conduit Blvd. curb before colliding with a tree near 121st St. in South Ozone Park around 6:30 a.m., authorities said.
Emergency responders had to shear the mangled white Mazda's roof and doors off to rescue the man pinned inside.
The driver was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed, remarkably, in stable condition.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash but police say no other vehicles were involved.
