Newport News, VA : One person Injuries in crash involving HRT bus in Newport News on Monday morning, April 3, 2017

At least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries after an HRT bus was involved in a crash Monday morning, an official said.

The crash happened just before 9:45 a.m. in the area of 35th Street and Madison Avenue in Southeast Newport News, according to police spokesman Master Police Officer Brandon Maynard.

At least one person was taken to the hospital with injuries, he said. No further information about the person's condition has been released.

The bus did not appear to have any major damage. The cause of the crash is under investigation, Maynard said.
