Roanoke police named the man charged in car crash after shooting incident on April, saturday 15th 2017
Roanoke Police named the man charged in a Saturday incident that involved a woman being shot and a car crash.
Demond Ramey, 39, of Roanoke is charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment, according to Roanoke police spokesman Scott Leamon.
The woman involved in the incident, Brittany Ramey, 26, was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Her status Sunday night was unknown.
The incident started around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, in the 2500 block of Hollins Road, according to Leamon.
Law enforcement officers responding to the emergency call found Brittany Ramey, who had been shot.
