Corpus Christi, TX : One woman injured in crash with hit-and-run driver at Laredo and Brownlee in Nueces County on Wednesday, January 20, 2016
Corpus Christi police are on the lookout for a vehicle that caused an accident Wednesday that sent one woman to the hospital and damaged a local cemetery.
A truck crashed through a fence at the Hebrew Rest Cemetery located near the intersection of Laredo and Brownlee. According to police, the truck was traveling down Laredo when it was struck by a blue Saturn that ran a red light on Brownlee.
The impact sent the truck spinning and into the cemetery. Police say the blue Saturn fled the scene.
As for injuries, a female was sent to the hospital to get checked out.
Authorities said none of the gravestones at the cemetery were damaged even though the truck crashed just a few feet away from them. The only significant damage was done to the fence.
